Tuesday's USDA Cattle slaughter was 112,000 head versus a year ago at 117,000 head.

Live Cattle futures traded firm on Tuesday and prices were near the highs of the session at the end of the day. August Live Cattle was trading at 152.92, up 1.32 and October Cattle was trading at 154.82, up 1.17.
