Live Cattle Little Lower

August Cattle is trading at 151.42, down 0.02. October cattle is trading at 152.92, down 0.07. Trading is expected to be choppy. Somewhat higher beef prices and chatter about the futures discount to cash has been supportive.

The USDA reported Thursday that weekly U.S. beef export sales were 11,600 tons; the four-week average is near 15,700 tons. Export sales are down over 8 percent from a year ago.
