Monday's USDA Cattle slaughter was 114,000 head versus a year ago at 115,000 head.

Live Cattle futures ended the trading session firm and near the highs of the day. August Live Cattle was trading 152.17, up 0.90 and October Cattle was trading at 153.87, up 0.95.
