Live Cattle Sharply Higher

Cash cattle moved higher late Wednesday after the December contract went off the board, catching some shorts in the market by surprise. February Live Cattle is trading up 2.25 at 165.80. April Live Cattle is 2.25 higher at 164.65. March Feeder Cattle is trading 2.27 higher at 219.60. Lean Hogs are also trading higher Friday morning. Cash is steady at best and still soft. February Hogs were last at 81.42, up 0.22. June Hogs are up 0.27 at 91.82. April Hogs are trading at 83.57, up 0.30. Market talk is that choppy trading will be around for a while.
