Livestock Futures Open Mixed

Cattle on Feed was deemed neutral to a bit negative. Frozen beef supplies are due to be released after the close in the USDA Monthly Cold Storage report. The estimate is for 386 million pounds of beef in cold storage at the end of last month. February Cattle was up 0.60 at $160.70. March Feeder Cattle was up 0.45 at $218.42. February Lean Hogs were trading down 0.20 at $81.70. Lean Hogs Futures for June were trading down 0.35 at $90.07. Cash hogs are still weak, as many traders essentially are on the sidelines for the holidays.
