KBR Wins $75M DoD Contract For Critical Tech Research

Engineering company KBR Inc KBR has secured a $75 million, five-year recompete task order from the Department of Defense (DoD).

The company will conduct research and analysis to address DoD's critical technology areas of advanced materials, trusted artificial intelligence (AI) and autonomy, and renewable energy generation and storage.

The award comes under the DoD Information Analysis Center (IAC) Multiple Award Contract (MAC) vehicle. 

The contract strengthens KBR's growth initiative, focusing on ground vehicle systems and represents more than 80% growth from the previous task order. 

Under the terms of the contract, KBR will provide research and development for engineering, new product design and development, logistics and reliability improvements, and obsolescence and diminishing sources of manufacturing and supply.

Price Action: KBR shares closed higher by 0.46% at $61.09 on Monday.
