Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (OTC:NSANY) will hamper the production of its next "Kicks" SUV model in Mexico by about six months.
The delay is due to an alleged theft of some mold components at a local supplier, Reuters reported, citing the Nikkei newspaper.
The production of the remodeled "Kicks," which was scheduled to start in December, will likely begin around June 2024, the report said.
"Due to an unexpected factor outside the company's control, one of our new-model programs has been slightly delayed," the company said in a statement noted in the report.
Price Action: NSANY shares closed lower by 0.47% to $8.49 on Friday.
