Hennes & Mauritz AB (OTC:HNNMY)(OTC:HMRZF) reportedly sued the fast-fashion retailer Shein for copyright infringement in Hong Kong.
H&M had included dozens of stolen pictures of clothing, ranging from swimwear to sweaters, as evidence against Shein during a hearing at the Hong Kong High Court on June 21, as per Bloomberg.
The next hearing on the case is expected on July 31.
Earlier, H&M had first accused Shein of copying several designs in 2021.
H&M claimed that Shein “in multiple cases has infringed on our designs.”
Last month, H&M reported a 6% year-on-year increase in second-quarter FY23 sales to SEK 57.6 billion.
