eBay Completes Acquisition Of AI-Powered Apparel Services Provider Certilogo

EBay Inc. EBAY has completed its acquisition of Certilogo, an AI-powered apparel and fashion goods digital IDs and authentication provider.

"Through this acquisition, eBay will be able to offer brands secure, connected product solutions that are both flexible and compatible," said Charis Marquez, VP of the company. 

The deal brings new - 'Secure by Design' digital ID technology and authentication to the eBay fashion category, expanding opportunities in the circular economy.

"Brands will also be able to protect their customers from counterfeits and engage in recommerce through counterfeit-proof digital product passports," Marquez added. 

Yesterday, the company announced the launch of a new trading card submission service for the eBay vault. 

With the development, collectors, investors, and professional sellers can submit eligible graded cards valued at $250+ directly to eBay's state-of-the-art facility and digital marketplace.

The new service expands eligibility for the eBay vault and covers graded autographs, relics, and patch cards.

Price Action: EBAY shares are trading higher by 1.38% to $46.30 on the last check Tuesday.
