Benzinga’s Top Pre-Market Gainers (ARMH, APWR, NVAX, ASML)

ARM Holdings plc ARMH soared 14.52% to $13.41 in the pre-market session. According to Reuters, traders are again speculating that British firm ARMH, linked to the production of tablet computers, may receive a bid from Apple Inc AAPL. Wind turbine maker A-Power Energy Generation Systems Ltd APWR added 11.94% to $8.25 in pre-market trading. APWR announced today that its Q1 net income jumped on one-time gains, led by a Japanese solar company’s take-over and the value of outstanding warrants. The company also hiked its 2010 forecasts. Novavax Inc NVAX moved up 10.09% to $2.4 in pre-market trading. The Biotechnology company has dropped 14.5% during the past month and its shares are presently trading below their 20-day, 50-day and 200-day moving averages. Europe’s biggest semiconductor equipment maker ASML Holding NV ASML gained 4.94% to $29.1 in the pre-market session. The Semiconductor Industry Association has made a forecast that worldwide chip sales will rise by 28.4%, 6.3% and 2.9% in 2010, 2011 and 2012, respectively. Read more from Benzinga's Company news.
