The business of growing cannabis remains a challenging one. From ever-changing regulations to the lack of access to capital to the inconsistency of the plants themselves, growing and maintaining a cannabis company is an ambitious endeavor.

Agrify AGFY, a non-plant touching developer of highly advanced hardware and software cultivation solutions for the indoor agriculture marketplace, has made its goal to support cannabis businesses with superior smart technologies that intuit each company’s individual needs.

Cannabis Control with Smart Software

One of the many ways that Agrify helps its partners to produce consistent, high-quality cannabis at scale is with the application of Agrify Insights cultivation software.

Agrify uses the approach of the famed Apple AAPL, by tightly coupling its entirely cloud-based software to its hardware with the goal of offering a fully integrated technological ecosystem.

What if you could see the results of raising the temperature 2 degrees in your grow house before making that change? What if you could see how it would affect your plants, production schedule and essentially your business as a whole?

Horticulturists can now have access to hypothetical outcomes with Agrify Insights. By taking control of the hardware and microclimate-based growing system, the software can manage every aspect of a business from seed-to-sale.

How Agrify Insights Works

Agrify Insights is built with the goal of empowering horticulturists by providing them with the tools and the granular data they need to maximize production and save on costs.

The software does this by helping businesses apply data science to every aspect of cannabis production — from harvest analysis to developing grow plans to monitoring alerts and more. By collecting data from the temperature, humidity and Co2 levels in the grow environment and combining that with cannabis growing metrics and harvesting data, Agrify Insights is able to provide actionable data that can be used to optimize and improve crop quality, yield and consistency.

To start, Agrify Insights comes with a number of sample grow plans. Each grow plan consists of a series of phases that define the optimal light intensity, irrigation schedule, temperature, humidity, Co2 levels and plant-touching tasks.

As cannabis production requires several moving parts, malfunctions are not uncommon. Agrify Insights alerts you of any misbehaving equipment and gives options for notifying your team members. In addition, the software has remediation plans to return plants to optimum health quickly.

The smart software also offers features to optimize the delivery schedules, space allocation, and labor requirements as well as consider the costs of consumables (i.e., pots and soil).

First of its Kind

While other options for plant growers are available, Agrify believes there is not yet another software matching the skill level, specialization and smart scheduling technology that Agrify Insights is currently able to achieve. The company continues to work on developments to improve Agrify Insights and releases new features regularly.

“Our system is completely based around a continuous improvement process. That’s what sets us apart. We can catch problems while they’re minor before becoming major, track progress and create experiments without putting crops at risk,” commented CEO  Raymond Nobu Chang.

Agrify’s mission is to assist its partners in achieving the highest quality, consistency and yield — at the lowest possible cost. The company has the vision to be an end-to-end solution partner enabling the most consistent hemp and cannabis production profitably at scale.
