Chesapeake Energy Beats Top And Bottom Line Estimates (CHK)

Chesapeake Energy CHK released its fiscal third quarter earnings results on Wednesday after the closing bell. The company reported Q3 adjusted net income of $478 million or $0.70 per share, versus $440 million or $0.70 per share, in the year ago quarter. Revenue came in at $2.6 billion compared to $1.8 billion in the third quarter of 2009. Wall Street analysts had anticipated that CHK would report EPS of $0.64 on revenue of $2.31 billion. In the after hours trading session, CHK shares have lost 2.33% to $21.79.
