Verizon Wireless VZ said today that it was launching its LTE network in 30 "NFL cities" by the end of the year. Verizon didn't release any other details.
An Engadget.com report notes that "There are technically only 30 NFL markets, as New York has the Giants and Jets and the Raiders and 49ers play across the bay from each other. LTE for everyone, then?"
Verizon's LTE network is its "4G" competitor to Sprint S and AT&T ATT, who are also rolling out similar networks.
Shares of Verizon are up 0.3% this afternoon, to $31.28.
