Early Reviews Of The PlayStation 5 Design

Months after Microsoft Corporation MSFT unveiled the Xbox Series X, Sony SNE finally revealed the PlayStation 5 on June 11 and gave consumers a glimpse at its game lineup.

Following the event, people had a lot to say about the design of the console. It starkly contrasts the design of the rectangular-shaped Xbox Series X.

Regarding the look, feelings are pretty mixed. Some people hate it, some people love it.

There are many different comparisons, but a lot of people think the Playstation 5 looks more like a wifi router, rather than a gaming console.

Although Sony hasn't officially shown any other color schemes available besides the two-toned black and white, people are creating mockups of their favorite colors. One of the most popular colors, black, would suffice just fine for a lot of people.

While the look is controversial, some say it doesn't matter as much, as consoles aren't usually the centerpiece of the living room. Consoles, like phones, are often covered in skins that can completely change the look, if desired.
