Merry Christmas, Facebook shareholders [SHARESPOST RESULTS]

Here's the good news: sellers of Facebook stock were able to find buyers in the most recent SharesPost auction. The bad news? They got a buck less than sellers in the previous auction. On December 21, 2011, according to an email statement from SharesPost, 150,000 shares of Facebook were sold at a final clearing price of $32 a share.

While this is off $1 a share from the December 9, 2011 auction on SharesPost, it does show a 50 percent increase in trading volume, as 100,000 shares were sold a few weeks ago. After flat-lining in September, trading volumes have been on the rise, although pricing has been choppy. Facebook dipped to $30 a share in SharesPost trading on November 11, 2011, its lowest level since Inside IPO began keeping track at the beginning of June. For this period, Facebook reached a high of $35 a share at the July 19, 2011 SharesPost auction.
