Chilean Peso Hits 30-Month High

The Chilean Peso is up 0.6% this morning on the back of strong copper, which is the country's top export. Easing European debt fears also helped. The peso firmed to 473.80/474.30 per U.S. dollar compared with Tuesday's close of 476.80/477.10. Chile's currency last traded stronger than 474 to the dollar on May 26, 2008. *Quotes courtesy of Reuters
