Forex - NZD/USD down during the U.S. session

Forexpros – The New Zealand Dollar was lower against the U.S. Dollar on Thursday after the release of U.S. data on Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing Index.

NZD/USD was trading at 0.8218, down 1.87% at time of writing.

The pair was likely to find support at 0.8212, today’s low, and resistance at 0.8426, Wednesday’s high.

Earlier in the day, official data showed that Manufacturing activity in the state of Philadelphia fell unexpectedly to a seasonally adjusted -30.7 last month from 3.2 in the preceding month.

Analysts had expected Philly Fed manufacturing index to rise 3.9 last month.

Meanwhile, the New Zealand Dollar was down against the Australian Dollar and the Euro, with AUD/NZD gaining 0.06% to hit 1.2607 and EUR/NZD rising 1.04% to hit 1.7406.
