Who Are The Most Innovative Companies In Fintech?

Benzinga announced the categories and finalists Wednesday morning for the second annual Benzinga Fintech Awards. Of the 223 companies who took part in the social media competition, 131 have advanced as finalists.

Those companies will compete in nine categories:

  • Best educational tool or service
  • Lending, crowdsourcing and alternative investments
  • Trade recommendations, ideas and rooms
  • Innovation in mobile
  • Robo advisor and wealth management tools
  • Unique proprietary APIs and technology
  • Analysis
  • Platform or tools
  • Finding alpha
  • Research platforms and apps
  • Additionally, there are six special categories that will identify more unique leaders in the space:

    • Most promising startup
    • Most disruptive
    • Founder of the year
    • Best in show exhibitor
    • Outstanding military veteran in fintech
    • Leveling the playing field

    Benzinga has identified a panel of judges with extensive experience in Fintech. Combined with the top CEO's, venture capitalists, and industry thought leaders that will be there, the Benzinga Fintech Awards promises to be "The Oscars of Fintech."
