Australian Dollar Stable Following RBA Comments

Interest rate cuts may be off the table in Australia. At least for now. With all the negative economic data that has surfaced in the Pacific country, it's no wonder why market traders have been pricing in reductions in the nation's interest rates of as much as 125 basis points, or 1.25%, in the next 12 months. But, sentiment may be shifting following comments by Reserve Bank of Australia Governor Glenn Stevens on August 25th.
