JP Morgan Says Exxon Anadarko Takeover is 'Unlikely'

In a note released early June 12th, JP Morgan analyst Joseph Allman wrote that Anadarko Petroleum Corporation APC would likely require a per share price over $140. He based this sentiment on comments from the company's investor conference held in March. Allman believes it is more likely Anadarko will monetize its assets possibly including International, domestic operating assets, GoM, and mineral ownership in the Rockies. Additional comments came in from an analyst at Raymond James stating that ExxonMobil XOM buying someone "really cool" is just an "old reliable story" for the beginning of summer.
