China's state-owned media E.U. Bureau Chief called former President Donald Trump a "disgusting racist" but said he deserves some credit for peace efforts with North Korea.

What Happened: Chen Weihua, replying to a user on Twitter, wrote, "Trump is a disgusting racist. But to be fair, he deserves some credit for peace efforts, such as talks with North Korea."

Trump is a disgusting racist. But to be fair, he deserves some credit for peace efforts, such as talks with North Korea. But his reversal of Obama's Cuba policy was heinous. Biden continued that inhumane policy. So it's all about lesser of two evils for Americans

Weihua was replying to American political activist Medea Benjamin, who shared Trump's recent claims that the former U.S. president claimed he was the "only candidate" who could prevent World War 3. "Before I arrive in the Oval Office, I will end the disastrous war between Russia and Ukraine," Trump said.

The Chinese journalist also criticized Trump's reversal of former President Barack Obama's Cuba policy and called it "heinous." In 2017, Trump announced that he was reversing crucial pieces of what he called a "terrible and misguided deal" with Cuba, saying it allowed the Castro regime to benefit from increased tourism. "Biden continued that inhumane policy. So it's all about the lesser of two evils for Americans," Weihua said.

Trump has often boasted about his close ties with the North Korean dictator. Recently, over a dozen letters exchanged between the former U.S. President and North Korean leader, published by the Korean-American Club, revealed that Kim was willing to discuss his isolated country's denuclearization with Trump.
