Tony Blair Joins Khosla as Senior Adivsor

This one gave me a bit of a double take. Wasn't Tony Blair supposed to be focused on the middle east peace process? Senior advisor can be a relatively low intensity role and one would assume that's the case here via PEHUB. Khosla is an amazing investor but I don't envy the challenge of deploying such a large amount of capital in a sector that historically has not had a lot of breakouts. The ones in cleantech that do breakout though --probably amazing amounts of fun.

Tony Blair, the former British prime minister, has joined Khosla Ventures as a senior advisor. The announcement was made today during Khosla’s annual limited partner meeting.

Blair will focus on Khosla’s cleantech portfolio.

In a formal statement, he said: “I am increasingly and crucially aware of the fact that the answer to these twin challenges — climate change and energy security — lies in developing the technological solutions of the future.”
