The company reported a 35% decrease in net revenue, which fell to $4.9 million from $7.5 million in the same quarter last year. However, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cannabis/23/11/35789904/cannabis-growers-rough-year-q3-earnings-show-28-revenue-plunge-but-sheds-millions-in-debt">net revenue</a> showed a 35% increase from $3.6 million in Q4 2023.
<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/biotech/23/03/31227249/from-controversial-to-profitable-why-nestl-procter-gamble-pepsico-and-other-cpg-brands-should-emb">Consumer packaged goods (CPG)</a> revenue dipped 11% year-over-year but rose 10% from the previous quarter. Bulk product revenue dropped 73% year-over-year and 66% from Q4 2023. Revenue from Lowell Farm Services (LFS) decreased 41% year-over-year and 93% from the previous quarter.

Lowell Farms Reports 35% Revenue Drop In Q1: Following Cannabis Cultivation Exit, Net Loss Down 27.5%

What Happened: Analyzing a March filing submitted by BlackRock Inc. to the SEC over its ETF application, finance lawyer Scott Johnson discovered &#8220;official&#8221; signals of the regulator viewing Ethereum as a security.
The SEC while delaying the approval, also sought public feedback on whether the applicant properly filed its ETF listing proposal as a commodity.

Johnson noted that this question was asked for all the ETF filings and never for any Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) spot/futures ETF product.&nbsp;
"The obvious purpose is to potentially deny on the basis that these spot filings are improperly filed as commodity-based trust shares and do not qualify if they are holding a security," he added.
Responding to his findings, Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart increased the likelihood of a spot ETH ETF rejection, convinced that the regulator was considering the security question for ETH.&nbsp;
Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas entered the discussion as well, emphasizing, "Our odds of approval remain the same: slim to none."
Why It Matters: The SEC is due to decide on VanEck's spot Ether ETF by May 23 &#8211; the final deadline for the first batch of proposals enabling investors to bet on the spot price of the world's second-largest cryptocurrency.&nbsp;
Ethereum&#8217;s status has become the major sticking point, with the SEC <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/24/04/38520739/consensys-alleges-sec-covertly-targeted-ethereum-sparking-legal-battle">allegedly launching a covert operation</a> to brand the cryptocurrency as a security. Prominent technical analyst Kevin spotted a falling wedge pattern for Bitcoin, noting, "BTC is currently compressed between a ton of support and resistance and it&#8217;s gonna pop one way or the other within days."

While the joint statement, dated May 10, does not mention any specific threats or intelligence, it highlights the efforts by foreign terrorist organizations to commit or inspire violence against holiday celebrations, including Pride events or LGBTQ-related venues. This is further compounded by the current heightened threat environment in the United States and other western countries.
&#8220;We urge the public to stay vigilant and to promptly report suspicious activity to their local law enforcement,&#8221; said a DHS official, according to the report.
The alert also points out that these foreign groups and their supporters have previously promoted anti-LGBTQ rhetoric and targeted LGBTQ-related events or venues for attacks. &#8220;We continue to work with our partners to evaluate the threat environment, provide updates to the American public, and protect our homeland,&#8221; a DHS official told USA Today.

Buttigieg, however, expressed astonishment at the lawsuit, stating, &#8220;We just issued a rule requiring airlines to inform you, before you buy a ticket, of fees they will charge you. Now, the airline lobby is suing us, saying that if you have the right to that information it will ‘confuse' you. For once, I am speechless."
The Department of Transportation has pledged to &#8220;vigorously defend&#8221; the rule, which is intended to protect consumers from &#8220;hidden junk fees&#8221; and ensure full price transparency before ticket purchase.
The Biden administration finalized the rule last month, with Buttigieg asserting that it will save passengers over half a billion dollars a year in unnecessary or unexpected fees.
