Renowned crypto analyst DonAlt has expressed skepticism over Bitcoin&#8217;s (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) current support level, hinting at a potential drop below $60,000.
What Happened: In a April 17 <a href="https://twitter.com/CryptoDonAlt/status/1780586718569111690">tweet</a>, the pseudonymous analyst voiced concerns about the stability of Bitcoin&#8217;s support level. He noted that the support has been tested multiple times, which, in his opinion, is not a good sign.
DonAlt further commented on the erratic price action of Bitcoin over the past year, stating that while it could still rise, he wouldn&#8217;t want to bet on it. With the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/bitcoin-halving">Bitcoin halving</a> just two days away, he suggested that a washout below $60,000 seems much more attractive.

Bitcoin is down 12% down over the past seven days, plunging below $60,000 in Wednesday trading before <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/24/04/38312737/bitcoin-defies-165m-etf-outflows-bounces-above-62-000">a rebound</a> to $62,000. Despite a lull in price action, trading volume increased by 15.7% over the past 24 hours.
Other traders chipped in with their own opinions, with chart analyst Ali Martinez referencing a <a href="https://twitter.com/ali_charts/status/1780192519147368520">tweet</a> that had indicated $61,000 as the most important support level and $72,400 as the most important resistance level. In case of a support break, Bitcoin could drop to $56,200 or $51,600.
However, one X user stated that the number of bearish posts makes him believe that the "opposite is gonna happen."
Zen, a bitcoin hodler, agreed with the words "The more support resistance is tested, the weaker it becomes." 
Amid Bitcoin's volatile price action, It remains to be seen whether this prediction will materialize and how it might impact the broader cryptocurrency market.

A measure under which Alabama&#8217;s cannabis regulator would be given more rights to regulate medical marijuana got the green light from House members on Tuesday.
The House bill, <a href="https://legiscan.com/AL/bill/HB390/2024">HB390</a> from Danny Crawford (R) was approved in a 95-4 vote in and is now heading to the Senate for a committee vote.
The Alabama Medical Cannabis Commission is "responsible for the regulation, licensure, and enforcement of all aspects of the processing and dispensing of medical cannabis, while the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries shares responsibility with the commission for the regulation and enforcement of the cultivation of cannabis to be used for medical cannabis products," the bill stipulates.
With the bill, Crawford seeks to clarify confusion related to the AMCC working with the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries (ADAI) on awarding distribution licenses, <a href="https://www.cbs42.com/alabama-news/bill-that-redefines-alabama-medical-cannabis-commission-duties-heads-to-the-senate/">reported</a> CBS 42.

"Enforcement and some of the roles that [ADAI] had. There was some confusion as to does the commission have this or does the commissioner have that?" Rep. Crawford said. 
Even though medical marijuana was legalized in 2021 in Alabama with AMCC awarding a limited number of licenses, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cannabis/23/09/34621250/will-alabama-governor-answer-the-call-coalition-urges-special-session-to-amend-medical-marijuana">the market rollout was stalled</a> due to the multiple lawsuits by unsuccessful applicants. State Senator Larry Stutts (R) called the state&#8217;s medical marijuana industry <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cannabis/24/02/36909631/gop-senator-says-alabamas-medical-marijuana-rollout-is-corrupt-or-incompetent-and-that-cannabis-">"corrupt or incompetent&#8221;</a> in February.

GOP Bill On Alabama Cannabis Regulator's Duties Heads To Senate As Licensing Saga Continues

The mining industry and <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/03/37874531/alaska-governor-wants-overhaul-of-mine-permitting-seeks-700b-in-economic-losses">state of Alaska</a> slammed the Biden administration's reported plan to block a controversial access road to a mining district, saying such a move is politically motivated, illegal and at odds with the need for domestic sources of key minerals.
In an environmental analysis due this week, the Interior Department planned to issue a "no action" recommendation for the proposed Ambler Road project, effectively blocking the 211-mile artery that would connect an existing highway to a remote area in northwestern Alaska where mining companies want to explore for copper and other minerals, according to media reports.
Such a decision would hand a victory to environmentalists who said the road threatens pristine Arctic habitat for caribou and fish and endangers drinking water for native tribes and rural communities. 
But copper is a key mineral needed to build renewable energy sources to help combat climate change, which also threatens the Arctic.
The tension underscored the sometimes conflicting environmental goals of the Biden administration in an election year while also pitting native groups against each other.
<h1 class="wp-block-heading">Alaska Says Decision Would Violate Law</h1>
An executive with Ambler Metals — a joint venture between Canada-based Trilogy Metals Inc. (NYSEAMERICAN: TMQ) and Australia-headquartered South32 (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SOUHY#OTC">SOUHY</a>) that was exploring the mining district — said the company was "stunned" to hear that the Interior Department's Bureau of Land Management (BLM) was planning to deny the access project.
"We strongly urge BLM to reconsider what would clearly be an unlawful and politically motivated decision that goes well beyond the narrow set of issues the courts agreed to allow the agency to address," Kaleb Froehlich, managing director of Ambler Metals, said in a statement.

 With more than $32 million in cash, Trilogy Metals said it was "well positioned" to consider its options.
The access road would also cross state mining claims owned by Valhalla Metals Inc (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/VMXXF#OTC">VMXXF</a>) which the company stated contained copper and other metals. The company said it planned to confer with Alaska officials to examine legal options.
"For an administration that talks about the importance of a domestic supply of critical metals, the importance of secure domestic supply chains and mandates to transition to a green energy and transportation future, this decision makes no sense," Valhalla's chairman Rick Van Nieuwenhuyse said in a statement. "Frankly, I am disgusted,&#8221; he added.
For the state's part, the Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority said a decision to block access to the mining district would violate federal law, as well as promises made when Alaska became a state in the late 1950s to allow the development of state lands.
&#8220;Announcing the denial of the Ambler Road adds insult to injury," Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy said in a statement. "To hinder access to our responsibly managed resources and then force America to import minerals from countries with questionable environmental practices is not just ironic — it&#8217;s irresponsible and unacceptable.&#8221;
<h1 class="wp-block-heading">Native Tribes Divided</h1>
State development officials point to economic benefits of developing the mining district,&nbsp;&nbsp;including taxes, royalties and jobs.
"We deserve the same opportunities as the billion-dollar donors and conservation groups trying to lock us into a state of poverty with the highest food and energy prices in the nation," said P.J. Simon, first chief for the Allakaket Tribe. 
"Without access to running water or sewer, how are we supposed to be healthy people? Projects like the Ambler Road help us to develop skills and secure jobs that empower our people, much like Trans-Alaska Pipeline did in the 1970s," Simon added.
Not all native groups feel that way.
Several tribal governments and the Tanana Chiefs Conference, which represents 42 villages in Alaska's interior, sued to stop the road. But three of the tribes, including the Allakaket, withdrew from the suit.&nbsp;
The NANA Regional Corp., a native business entity, fought the suit along with the state and Ambler metals. But Doyon Ltd., another native corporation, said in an October letter it would not renew an agreement on land use for the road.
"After three years, we still have no agreement with any relevant party to ensure that the impacts of the project or the mining district are mitigated by benefits to our corporation and its shareholders," the letter said.
<h1 class="wp-block-heading">A Chilling Effect On Exploration</h1>
Gregory Beischer, CEO of Alaska Energy Metals Corp. (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AKEMF#OTC">AKEMF</a>), told Benzinga that if the Biden administration blocks the access road, it could have a chilling effect on mining exploration in Alaska in general.
"This will stand as a precedent for where federal permitting can go under a Biden administration," said Beischer, whose company's project in Alaska is not close to the Ambler district and wouldn't be directly affected by the decision.&nbsp;"This decision is contradictory to the U.S. regaining a position of independence and autonomy in supplying itself with the critical minerals and materials it requires."
Interior Department spokesman Tyler Cherry declined to comment for this article.&nbsp;
"Local communities have spoken, and the Biden administration listened," Dan Ritzman, the Sierra Club's director of conservation, told Benzinga. "This has been a bad idea from the very beginning because of its significant impacts to water, wildlife, landscapes and the people who rely on them. Any benefits are not even close to the costs."
Amid the need for metals like copper for the energy transition, the Sierra Club advocates for planning that "begins with robust recycling and moves on to development in appropriate places," he said. "It doesn't start with a proposal to mine a fragile landscape."

Biden Plan To Reportedly Block Alaska Mine Access Draws Industry Ire: 'Frankly, I Am Disgusted'

D.R. Horton, Inc.&nbsp;(NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DHI#NYSE">DHI</a>) shares are trading higher after the company reported better-than-expected second-quarter FY24 financial results and&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/24/04/b38309418/d-r-horton-inc-americas-builder-reports-fiscal-2024-second-quarter-earnings-and-declares-quarterly" rel="noreferrer noopener">issued guidance above estimates</a>.
Sales grew 14% Y/Y to $9.1 billion, beating the consensus of $8.3 billion. Net sales orders increased 14% Y/Y to 26,456 homes and 17% in value to $10.1 billion.
Homes closed in the quarter increased 15% Y/Y to 22,548 homes and 14% Y/Y in value to $8.5 billion.&nbsp;
EPS was $3.52 (+29% Y/Y),&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/earnings" rel="noreferrer noopener">beating the consensus of $3.06.</a>
Sales order backlog of homes under contract as of March 31, 2024, decreased 7% to 17,873 homes and 5% in value to $7.0 billion.
D.R. Horton had 45,000 homes in inventory, of which 27,600 were unsold as of March 31, 2024.
Return on equity (ROE) was 22.2% for trailing twelve months ended March 31, 2024, and homebuilding return on inventory (ROI) was 29.9%.
The company's net cash used in operations for the six-months totaled $(470.1) million, compared to the operating cash flow of $1.47 billion a year ago.
Consolidated cash balance was $3.1 billion, and available capacity on its credit facilities was $2.6 billion, for a total liquidity of $5.7 billion.
D.R. Horton repurchased 2.7 million shares of common stock for $402.2 million during the quarter. The company's remaining stock repurchase authorization on March 31, 2024, was $800.5 million.
Dividend: D.R. Horton declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.30 per common share, payable on May 9, 2024, to stockholders of record on May 2, 2024.
Outlook: D.R. Horton updates FY24 outlook for revenue to $36.7 billion to $37.7 billion (prior view $36 billion-$37.3 billion) vs. the&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/guidance" rel="noreferrer noopener">consensus of $36.32 billion</a>.
It now expects Homes closed to be 89,000 homes to 91,000 homes (prior view 87,000 homes-90,000 homes).
DHI reiterated cash provided by operations guidance of around $3 billion and currently expects share repurchases of ~$1.6 billion.

A confluence of factors is driving smartphone recycling to new highs, as government and private bodies work together toward greater sustainability by boosting the &ldquo;circular economy.&rdquo; While much of the effort starts at the top with government-led initiatives, companies and industry groups are also taking more initiatives as they seek to become more responsible corporate citizens.
The latest remarks by President Xi Jinping during the recent meeting of the Communist Party&rsquo;s Central Commission for Financial and Economic Affairs reinforced the importance of the circular economy, calling for more equipment recycling and consumer goods trade-ins as a means to further lower logistics costs. We view this as an advocacy to boost consumption and circularity of consumer durables, including consumer electronics, home appliances and passenger vehicles.
At the same time, an increasingly sophisticated infrastructure to facilitate such activity is taking shape, bringing standardization and quality assurance that are critical to maintaining the market&rsquo;s growth. Last but not least, the recent economic situation has also added momentum to the movement, especially in China, as increasingly budget-conscious consumers look for ways to do more with less.
While the global market for new smartphones has been contracting for more than two years, the opposite is true for used products. Global new smartphone sales fell 3.2% last year to about 1.17 billion units, even as used smartphone sales&nbsp;<a href="https://www.idc.com/getdoc.jsp?containerId=prUS51804924">actually rose nearly 10%</a>&nbsp;for the year to 310 million units, according to IDC. Such used smartphone trading is expected to continue growing at a compound annual rate of 8.8% over the next five years.
As a recycling specialist,&nbsp;ATRenew Inc.&nbsp;(NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/rere#NYSE">RERE</a>) has been tapping this trend and recycled and facilitated the recirculation of about 32.3 million used devices last year. Our recent partnership with&nbsp;Apple&nbsp;(NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/aapl#NASDAQ">AAPL</a>) reinforces our belief in the potential of the circular economy, adding 330 million yuan to our sales in the second half of 2023, which we believe is just a start. We have faith that the partnership brings primary sources of supply to our ecosystem and could benefit us along with Apple&rsquo;s continuous business development in China.
Both local and national governments are helping to drive the trend towards more smartphone recycling and trade-ins in China. At the national level, China&rsquo;s Ministry of Ecology and Environment released guidelines in 2021 on recycling for nine types of electronic waste, including smartphones. Research cited in the government&rsquo;s most recent 14th&nbsp;Five-Year Plan also emphasized that many of the 6 billion smartphones likely to be discarded between 2021 and 2025 contained materials like gold, silver, copper, platinum, palladium and rare earth metals that can and should be recycled. Most recently, China&rsquo;s State Council in March issued a notice on promoting mass-scale trade-ins of consumer products, demonstrating its determination to pursue a circular model of consumer goods use at a national level.
<h4>Carbon-reduction financing</h4>
China&rsquo;s central bank has also encouraged such recycling by launching a voluntary program where banks and other financial institutions disclose carbon-reduction information associated with their lending activity, according to a 2022 report from the World Economic Forum. It added that the China Development Bank has pledged 4.55 billion yuan ($633 million) to finance construction of China&rsquo;s first resource recycling base and zero-waste city national pilot project in the city of Xuzhou.
At the local level, the southern economic center of Shenzhen rolled out its own pilot program providing guidelines for repair and refurbishment of used phones in 2022 &ndash; a template that could eventually be followed by other cities in the drive to bring more standardization to smartphone recycling.
Industry groups like the Global Battery Alliance, a partnership of more than 150 businesses, governments and industry players, are getting involved as well with their own recycling initiatives. Those include the alliance&rsquo;s &ldquo;battery passport&rdquo; that encourages &ldquo;responsible sourcing, management, recycling and use of a battery across its full lifecycle,&rdquo; according to its website.
Such efforts have helped to fuel the rise of a growing number of platforms that facilitate smartphone trading, including not only general used-product marketplace operators like Xianyu, but also a growing number of specialists like ATRenew and Shanhuishou. Such platforms can play a critical role by reassuring buyers that they are getting quality products and providing a reliable venue to express concerns when those products fail to meet expectations.
As those factors work together to promote recycling, a new variable has also entered the mix with China&rsquo;s economy. A growing number of retailers are reporting growing consumer caution as buyers increasingly look for better value for their money. At the same time, the demand for premium smartphones remains strong, making trade-ins a more popular option with Chinese consumers.
The confluence of all those factors bodes well for everyone. Governments and world bodies are protecting the environment and fulfilling their role as responsible players through greater promotion of the circular economy. The trend is also bringing economic activity by creating a new generation of trading platforms to assure quality through standardization. And last but not least, consumers are feeling increasingly comfortable buying secondhand phones, getting good value for their money while also being more environmentally responsible.

On Wednesday,&nbsp;Boston Scientific Corporation&nbsp;(NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BSX#NYSE">BSX</a>)&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/medical-device-recalls/boston-scientific-recalls-obsidio-conformable-embolic-increased-bowel-ischemia-risk-when-used-lower" rel="noreferrer noopener">said</a>&nbsp;it recalled Obsidio Embolic by issuing a correction. The FDA has identified this as a Class I recall, the most severe type of recall.
An investigation determined that delivery of Obsidio Embolic using the aliquot technique, a commonly used delivery method in embolization procedures, for lower gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding embolization, implies a high risk of bowel ischemia.
The most serious and the most common adverse health consequence is the need to perform major surgery such as bowel resection and/or diverting colostomy.&nbsp;
Use of this product with the aliquot technique may prevent blood and oxygen flow to organs, including the small bowel (ischemia) or non-target embolization, all of which may lead to prolonged hospitalization, the need for additional surgery, or death.
Eleven incidents were reported, seven injuries, and two deaths related to this issue.
The FDA said that recall is a correction, not a product removal.
On February 21, Boston Scientific issued an advisory notice explaining that the aliquot technique is not recommended with Obsidio Embolic when used for procedures treating lower GI bleeding.
The Obsidio Conformable Embolic (Obsidio Embolic) is a premixed embolic agent delivered minimally invasively to block (occlude) blood flow to specific blood vessels.&nbsp;
After injection, Obsidio Embolic creates a solid cast in the vessel and halts blood flow. It is intended for single use to embolize hypervascular tumors and to occlude blood flow in peripheral blood vessels that are bleeding and/or hemorrhaging.
The company has issued a recall for around 1,600 devices distributed between May 8, 2023, and February 8, 2024.
In January, Boston Scientific&nbsp;agreed to acquire&nbsp;Axonics Inc&nbsp;(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AXNX#NASDAQ">AXNX</a>) for $71 in cash per share, representing an enterprise value of approximately $3.4 billion and an equity value of&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/24/01/36534875/why-is-bladder-disorder-focused-axonics-stock-trading-higher-today" rel="noreferrer noopener">roughly $3.7 billion</a>.
The Axonics product portfolio includes the Axonics R20 and the Axonics F15 Systems used to deliver sacral neuromodulation therapy, a minimally invasive procedure for overactive bladder and fecal incontinence.&nbsp;
