<p>Latin music revenue in the U.S. hit a new high in 2023, reaching $1.4 billion, marking a significant 16% growth from the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/business-of-music">previous year. </a></p>
<p>The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) reported Latin music&#8217;s market share in the overall U.S. music market also climbed to 7.9%, a new peak, Variety<a href="https://variety.com/2024/music/news/latin-music-us-revenue-fastest-growing-us-market-1235978539/"> reported.</a></p>

<p>In dialogue with the magazine, RIAA&#8217;s <strong>Rafael Fernandez Jr</strong>. attributed this surge to the genre&#8217;s increasing popularity among a new generation of stars and the widespread availability of streaming platforms.</p>
<p>&#8220;Latin music has exploded in the U.S. over the last decade as a new generation of stars boosts the genre and streaming puts this dynamic sector at everyone's fingertips,&#8221; Fernández said. </p>
<p>The rise of artists like Karol G and Peso Pluma played a key role in this growth. Karol G made history by becoming the first Latina woman to top the Billboard 200 with an all-Spanish-language album, &#8220;Mañana Será Bonito,&#8221; in February 2023. </p>
<p>Meanwhile, Peso Pluma also made waves by claiming the highest-charting música Mexicana album on the Billboard 200 with &#8220;Genesis,&#8221; peaking at No. 3.</p>
<p>Furthermore, streaming platforms continued to dominate the listening experience for Latin music fans, generating over 98% of Latin music revenues. Paid subscriptions contributed the most to total revenues. </p>
<p>However, platforms such as <strong>Alphabet Inc</strong>&#8216;s (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GOOGL#NASDAQ">GOOGL</a>)(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GOOG#NASDAQ">GOOG</a>) YouTube, <strong>Universal Music Group&#8217;</strong>s (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/UMGNF#OTC">UMGNF</a>) Vevo, and social media also played a significant role, accounting for nearly a quarter of the Latin market&#8217;s total value.</p>
<p>Despite the shift to digital platforms, digital and customized radio services, along with <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/entertainment/23/03/31180475/vinyl-sales-in-the-uk-surpassed-cds-for-the-first-time-since-1987-what-does-this-mean">physical formats like vinyl albums</a>, still held a notable share of the market. </p>

This is a 133.33 percent increase over earnings of $0.06 per share from the same period last year. <p>A substantial slowdown in the shipping business caused <strong>United Parcel Service, Inc.</strong> (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/UPS#NYSE">UPS</a>) <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/24/04/38376943/ups-delivers-mixed-bag-of-q1-results-maintains-guidance-despite-lower-volumes">to deliver lackluster first-quarter results on Tuesday</a>.</p>
<p>When compared to the same period last year, revenue declined 5.3% and operating profit was down 31.5% when adjusting for inflation.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The large drop in operating profit stems from <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/large-cap/23/08/33995076/ups-and-teamsters-seal-the-deal-ensures-170-000-per-year-for-drivers-the-next-5-years">recent salary negotiations between UPS and the Teamsters</a>, the labor union that represents the company's employees.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The historic wage negotiation closed last August and hit the UPS balance sheet by guaranteeing a $170,000 salary for delivery truck drivers over the next five years. Negotiations affect 340,000 UPS teamsters with higher wages and overall better working conditions, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/23/08/34101423/drop-off-your-old-gig-pick-up-this-pay-package-ups-drivers-make-170k-under-new-deal">making the $170k salary the new average for UPS employees</a>.</p>
<p>Nonetheless, shares of the company were up by 2.4% as Tuesday progressed, as quarterly profit beat analyst expectations, although they were on the decline for five consecutive quarters.</p>
<p>The company is boasting several positive news from recent times, including <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/04/38086914/postal-services-air-cargo-shift-to-ups-makes-everyone-a-winner">a new contract with the United States Postal Service (USPS) to provide air cargo services</a>.</p>
<p>The USPS dropped <strong>FedEx Corp </strong>(NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FDX#NYSE">FDX</a>) earlier this month as its main domestic air carrier, deciding not to renew a contract worth $1.5 billion, and choosing UPS instead. The new contract will go on at least for five-and-a-half years and have UPS as the primary contractor for the USPS' first-class mail, priority mail and priority express mail.</p>

<p>The shift was considered a win-win for both competitors, as FedEx is looking to reduce its operations and take out $4 billion in structural costs by the end of fiscal year 2025.</p>
<p>On its previous quarterly call, UPS CEO<strong> Carol Tomé</strong> called 2023 "a difficult and disappointing year." The company experienced declines in volume, revenue, and operating profit in all three of its business segments, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/24/01/36866048/these-analysts-cut-their-forecasts-on-ups-following-q4-results">causing analysts to cut their forecasts</a>.</p>
<p>Tomé blamed the macro environment, as well as the new employee deal as reasons behind recent drops in revenue.</p>
<p>This time, the executive showcased a more hopeful attitude. While average daily volume continued to decline, the rate of decline was slower in the first quarter both domestically and internationally.</p>
<p>To compensate for the decline in volume, the company announced earlier this year <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/earnings-misses/24/01/36849715/ups-slashes-12-000-jobs-in-cost-cutting-move-shares-plunge">plans to shed 12,000 positions, representing about 14% of its managerial workforce</a>, potentially saving the company $1 billion in 2024.</p>
<p>Tomé is expecting the USPS deal to bring in at least part of the revenue the company needs to compensate for losses in volume. The CEO said the deal will contribute to top-line growth, fitting "beautifully with our strategy to grow our B2B business."</p>

<p><strong>David Pecker</strong>, former head of the National Enquirer, testified Tuesday about his role in purchasing and suppressing stories to benefit Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign, revealing details of his frequent communications with Trump and an unwritten agreement to publish favorable coverage of him while <a href="http://benzinga.com/general/politics/24/04/38366379/trump-committed-conspiracy-to-undermine-the-integrity-of-a-presidential-election-prosecution-all">targeting his political opponents.</a></p>
<p><strong>What Happened: </strong>During testimony Tuesday, Pecker shared details of the process of the National Enquirer buying stories <a href="http://benzinga.com/topic/donald-trump">related to Trump.</a></p>
<p>Pecker said he previously bought stories from Trump based on "The Apprentice" in what he called a mutually beneficial relationship, NBC News <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/live-blog/trump-hush-money-live-updates-day-6-rcna148919">reported</a>.</p>
<p>The media mogul said interest in Trump "skyrocketed" after the success of "The Apprentice" and "Celebrity Apprentice."</p>
<p>Pecker said he previously spoke monthly or quarterly with Trump, and in some cases it was more frequent, depending on how much the former president was in the news. When Trump announced he was running for president in 2015, the two met more frequently.</p>
<p>Testimony about a 2015 meeting at Trump Tower between Trump, his former lawyer <strong>Michael Cohen</strong> and Pecker was a key part of the court proceedings on Tuesday. </p>
<p>"Thinking about it as I did previously, I said what I would do is I would run or publish positive stories about Mr. Trump, and I would publish negative stories about his opponents," Pecker said. &nbsp;</p>
<p>The agreement was never put into writing, but was rather an agreement between friends, Pecker said Tuesday. Pecker added that running stories that were negative on the Clinton family often did well and pleased Cohen and Trump.</p>
<p>Pecker also said Cohen directed him to target certain 2016 presidential candidates with stories. This included running a story about 2016 Republican presidential candidate<strong> Ted Cruz</strong>.</p>
<p>The media mogul said that it was common for women to sell stories to the National Enquirer or to other outlets. Stories about Trump or the 2016 election had to be brought to Pecker at the time, according to company rules he put in place.</p>
<p>Stories then were sent from Pecker to Cohen to be vetted.</p>
<p>One story that was brought up in court Tuesday was one from <strong>Dino Sajudin</strong>, a doorman at Trump Tower. The doorman tried to sell a story about an illegitimate child from Trump and a maid who worked in the building.</p>
<p>Pecker recalled calling Cohen on the story who said it was not true. Pecker bought the story for $30,000 to make sure another publisher didn't get their hands on it.</p>
<p>"I made the decision to buy the story because of the potential embarrassment to the campaign and Mr. Trump."</p>
<p>Pecker said he didn't publish the story until after the 2016 presidential election based on a request from Cohen.</p>
<p>Pecker also said that a poll run by the National Enquirer saying 80% of readers wanted Trump to run for president was later cited by the former president as part of his reasoning for running.</p>

<p><strong>What's Next: </strong>Another key part of the testimony by Pecker was of a story of former Playboy model <strong>Karen McDougal</strong> alleging an affair with Trump.</p>
<p>Pecker also told the court that he spoke more often with Cohen after the McDougal story began circulating. Cohen instructed Pecker not to talk on a landline and to use messaging app Signal, where messages are automatically destroyed, Pecker recalled.</p>
<p>This happened at the end of Tuesday's session and will likely carry over into Thursday when the trial resumes.</p>
<p>On Tuesday morning ahead of testimony, Judge <strong>Juan Merchan</strong> heard from the prosecution and defense about a potential violation of <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/politics/24/03/37945216/trump-hit-with-gag-order-in-hush-money-case-his-statements-were-threatening-inflammatory-denigra">a gag order imposed</a> on Trump before the trial.</p>
<p>Merchan said he would "reserve a decision" on if Trump violated the gag order with posts on social media.</p>
<p>Speaking to media after the trial Tuesday, Trump said that Merchan has taken away his "constitutional right to free speech" with the gag order.</p>
<p>"This is a kangaroo court," Trump said on social media Tuesday. &nbsp;</p>

The cannabis sector has ample headroom for growth and regulatory headwinds has been waning.</p>



<p>It&rsquo;s worth noting that CRON stock has trended higher by almost 35% in the last six months. The rally has been backed by positive business developments. Further, the news of Germany legalizing cannabis has been a catalyst for the rally. Additionally, there is a strong case for reclassification of cannabis as a Schedule III drug in the United States. If this happens in the coming quarters, CRON stock is likely to go ballistic.</p>



<p>From a financial perspective, Cronos reported a strong cash buffer of $862 million as of 2023. This provides flexibility for aggressive growth investments. Cronos has also been pursuing geographic expansion. The Company has presence in Canada and Israel. In the recent past, Cronos <a href="https://ir.thecronosgroup.com/news-releases/news-release-details/cronos-group-reports-2023-fourth-quarter-and-full-year-results1">has ventured into</a> Australia and Germany in the medicinal cannabis market. As the addressable market expands, growth is likely to accelerate.</p>



<h2>Solid Power (SLDP)</h2>

If the Company can commercialize solid-state batteries in the next few years, multibagger returns are on the cards. After a deep correction, SLDP stock seems to have bottomed out and has trended higher by 22% for year-to-date. I expect the uptrend to sustain backed by positive business progress.</p>



<p>The first positive is that Solid Power has the backing of automotive majors that include <strong>Ford</strong> (NYSE:<span><a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/f-stock-quote/"><strong>F</strong></a></span>) and <strong>BMW</strong> (OTCMKTS:<span><a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/bmwyy-stock-quote/"><strong>BMWYY</strong></a></span>). In December 2022, the Company licensed its cell design and technology to BMW for parallel research and development. Additionally, Solid Power has <a href="https://www.solidpowerbattery.com/investor-relations/investor-news/news-details/2024/Solid-Power-and-SK-On-Deepen-Partnership-with-New-Agreements/default.aspx">continued to deepen its partnership</a> with <strong>SK On</strong>. This will enable the Company to make inroads in the Korean market.</p>



<p>From a business development perspective, Solid Power shipped A-1 cells to automotive partners in October 2023 for validation testing. This year, the Company <a href="https://www.solidpowerbattery.com/investor-relations/investor-news/news-details/2024/Solid-Power-Full-Year-2023-Results-Reflect-Strong-Execution/default.aspx">has shifted focus</a> to A-2 sample cells. With a strong cash buffer, I don&rsquo;t see any financial concerns. Once automotive validation delivers positive outcome, SLDP stock is likely to surge.</p>



<h2>Blink Charging (BLNK)</h2>

EV charging companies are therefore likely to benefit in the coming decade.</p>



<p>Among emerging players, <strong>Blink Charging</strong> (NASDAQ:<span><a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/blnk-stock-quote/"><strong>BLNK</strong></a></span>) looks promising. In the last 12 months, BLNK stock has plunged by 65%. However, the correction is overdone and I expect a strong reversal.</p>



<p>For 2023, Blink reported revenue growth of 130% on a year-on-year basis to $140.6 million. For the current year, <a href="https://ir.blinkcharging.com/news-events/press-releases/detail/2500/blink-charging-announces-record-fourth-quarter-with-89">revenue is guided</a> at $170 million. Therefore, there is growth deceleration. However, the good news is that expects full year gross margin of 33%. Further, the Company expects to achieve adjusted EBITDA break-even by the end of 2024.</p>



<p>With ample scope for growth in the United States and Europe, I expect renewed acceleration in top-line. Additionally, EBITDA margin expansion is likely to sustain in the coming years on the back of operating leverage and recurring services revenue.</p>



<h2>Standard Lithium (SLI)</h2>

SLI stock has plunged by 65% in the last 12 months mirroring the deep correction in lithium.</p>



<p>However, purely based on the asset potential, I believe that it&rsquo;s a good time to buy SLI stock. Once lithium reverses, the stock will surge from a deep valuation gap as indicated by the asset net present value.</p>



<p>Currently, Standard Lithium has a market valuation of $218 million. In comparison, the key asset of the company (South West Arkansas) has <a href="https://d1io3yog0oux5.cloudfront.net/_e78c66e58d8d6ed60f616b7a71b68acc/standardlithium/db/314/2108/pdf/Nov+6%2C+2023+Corp+Presentation+RFS.pdf">an after-tax net present value</a> of $4.5 billion. Further, the Lanxess project has an after-tax NPV of $772 million.</p>



<p>Besides the upside in lithium, financing of construction for the South West Arkansas project is a potential game changer. The asset requires a development capex of $1.27 billion. Once financing is secured, SLI stock will skyrocket.</p>



<h2>Aker Carbon Capture (AKCCF)</h2>

However, it&rsquo;s among the high-potential penny stocks that can deliver 10x to 20x returns in the coming years.</p>



<p>As an overview, Aker Carbon is in the business of providing products, technology, and solutions in the field of carbon capture. With global focus on decarbonisation, Aker has positive industry tailwinds beyond the decade. Further, with a proven technology, the Company is well positioned for stellar growth. Aker Carbon has already delivered seven carbon capture units with the technology having 60,000 operating hours.</p>



<p>As of Q4 2023, Aker Carbon reported a <a href="https://mb.cision.com/Main/20223/3914955/2561853.pdf">strong order backlog</a> of 2.6 billion Norwegian krone. It&rsquo;s likely that the order backlog will swell significantly in the next few years.</p>



<p>Recently, the Company signed a memorandum of understanding with <strong>MAN Energy Solutions</strong> in the U.S. The country has a potential market of 200 tons of carbon capture by 2030. Of course, European markets will add to the backlog and Aker is targeting to capture 10 million tonnes CO2 per annum by 2025. This will translate into stellar growth and margin expansion.</p>



<h2>Yatra Online (YTRA)</h2>

However, YTRA stock is deeply undervalued and can surprise in the next few years. As an overview, Yatra is an online travel company in the business of air ticketing, hotels, holiday packages, and other travel related services. The Company&rsquo;s business focus is in India, which is a market with big potential.</p>



<p>To put things into perspective, Indian travellers are set to be the <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2023/11/02/indian-travelers-are-set-to-be-fourth-largest-global-spenders-by-2030-.html">fourth largest global spenders</a> by 2030. In terms of value, the spending on travel and tourism is predicted at $410 billion by the end of the decade. Clearly, the opportunity is huge and the best part of growth is due for online travel companies.</p>



<p>Specific to Yatra, the corporate travel business is a differentiating factor among online players. Yatra has <a href="https://s22.q4cdn.com/850749348/files/doc_presentations/2024/Feb/15/yatra-investor-presentation-february-2024.pdf">800 corporate customers as clients</a> with an addressable employee base of seven million. At the same time, the Company is increasing focus on the business-to-consumer segment. This is likely to ensure sustainable growth and continued margin expansion.</p>



<h2>Archer Aviation (ACHR)</h2>

Early movers are likely to create immense value if the business is backed by innovation and a strong management. To put things into perspective, the flying car market is expected to be <a href="https://asia.nikkei.com/Business/China-tech/China-s-flying-car-developers-ready-for-takeoff-in-2025">worth $9 trillion by 2050</a>.</p>



<p>One company that looks promising is <strong>Archer Aviation</strong> (NYSE:<span><a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/achr-stock-quote/"><strong>ACHR</strong></a></span>). ACHR stock has been in a correction mode in the last six months and it&rsquo;s a good opportunity to accumulate for multibagger returns.</p>



<p>Archer has made significant strides in terms of business progress. It&rsquo;s likely that the Company&rsquo;s eVTOL aircraft will be commercialized in the United States in 2025. During the same year, the Company is also targeting operations in Dubai. Further, Archer has plans to commence operations in India in 2026. In the next 24 months, I expect announcements related to entry into multiple other countries through local partnerships.</p>



<p>Another important point to note is that Archer expects to complete the construction of its manufacturing facility in 2024. This will <a href="https://investors.archer.com/files/doc_financials/2023/q4/Shareholder-Letter-Q423-FINAL.pdf">support production of 650 aircraft annually</a>. This positions Archer to service the existing order backlog of $3.5 billion. It&rsquo;s also likely that the backlog will continue to swell in the coming years.</p>
