Mr. Doran has over twenty years of experience in banking, and joins Barclays from Rothschild & Co where he was a Managing Director and led coverage of the Aerospace & Defense sector. Prior to joining Rothschild in 2015, Mr. Doran served as an Executive-in-Residence with Warburg Pincus, a New York-based private equity firm, where he sourced and vetted investments in the Defense sector. Before joining Warburg Pincus in 2013, Mr. Doran spent over a decade focusing on M&A and strategy in the Aerospace & Defense industry, during which time he led Corporate Development for L3 Technologies, Inc. and later BAE Systems, Inc. Mr. Doran began his career in 2000 in the Telecommunications banking group at Credit Suisse.

Notable transactions that Mr. Doran has advised on include Huntington Ingalls' acquisition of Hydroid Inc. from Kongsberg, the sale of e2v Technologies to Teledyne Inc., the sale of Kelvin Hughes to Hensoldt (KKR), the sale of ADB Safegate to Carlyle, Mercury Systems' follow-on offerings of common stock ($100mm in 2016, $228mm in 2017, $476mm in 2019), and GenCorp's acquisition of Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne from United Technologies. Additionally, during his career in corporate development and strategy in the Aerospace & Defense sector, Mr. Doran oversaw the acquisition of over thirty businesses, adding key strategic capabilities and enhancing the competitive position of both L3 Technologies, Inc. and BAE Systems, Inc.
