AMC Entertainment Delivers Record Q3


Movie theater chain operator AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc (NYSE: AMC) reported its third quarter earnings after the market closed. Despite concerns of a slowdown in traffic to movie theaters, AMC reported a record third quarter. The stock is up a 34 percent year-to-date.

  • AMC reports Q3 EPS $0.31, beats by $0.04.
  • Revenues increased 13.2 percent to $779.8 million, misses by $2.1 million.
  • Net earnings increased to $30.4million.
  • AMC paid $19.7 million in dividends in Q3.
  • AMC did not issue guidance.

"Fueled by both a commitment to deliver on our key priorities and a strong industry box office, AMC delivered another outstanding quarter, setting third quarter records on many fronts, and growing adjusted EBITDA nearly 33% and diluted EPS over 150%," said Adam Aron, AMC Chief Executive Officer and President.

The stock traded down about 0.4 percent to $31.95 in the after-hours session.
