Lucid's New Year Surprise: Up To $10,000 In Air Credits

Lucid Group Inc. LCID said it is providing up to $10,000 in Air credits for its 2023 Air models. This exclusive offer is available solely in the U.S. market and will be valid until January 31st.

What Happened: According to a report by TeslaratiLucid is offering up to $10,000 in credits for its 2023 Air models. The credits can be applied to cash payments or loans, given that the vehicle is delivered to the customer within 7 days of its readiness.

The automaker is providing up to $7,500 credits for the 2023 Air Pure and Air Touring trims, while credits reach $10,000 for the 2023 Air Grand Touring trim.

Lucid is also offering a $300 discount on its advanced 80 Amp Connected Home charger to any customer who takes delivery of a new Lucid Air this January.

The Lucid Connected Home Charging Station, which comes with a 24-foot cable for both indoor and outdoor charging, also supports over-the-air updates via Wi-Fi and is prepared for bi-directional charging.

In 2023, Lucid manufactured 8,428 vehicles and delivered 6,001 units. An upgrade to its Air lineup was also announced in the fourth quarter of 2023.

The base-level Air Pure is priced at $77,400, the Touring at $85,900 with new Standard Equipment. The price of the updated 2024 Grand Touring, however, has not been announced by Lucid yet.

Why It Matters: The generous credits offer comes on the back of Lucid’s delivering 1,734 vehicles in the fourth quarter of 2023, and the announcement of plans to launch a competitively priced mid-sized EV.

The latter, expected to be priced around $50,000, has been hinted at being launched earlier than previously anticipated by Lucid CEO Peter Rawlinson and is expected to rival Tesla's popular, lower-end cars. These moves signal Lucid’s aggressive strategy to expand its market presence and reach a wider customer base.
