Microsoft Bing's DALL-E 3-Powered AI Image Generator Spins 1.8B Masterpieces: Here's How To Use It

Microsoft Corporation’s MSFT Bing “Image Creator” has generated more than a billion realistic images to date, according to Satya Nadella, and if you don’t already know how to use it, we’ll give some tips and prompts ideas.

What Happened: Microsoft on Tuesday reported its first-quarter financial results, and during the earnings call, CEO Nadella disclosed a fascinating accomplishment.

He said, “Bing users have engaged in more than 1.9 billion chats, and Microsoft Edge has now gained share for 10 consecutive quarters.”

Moreover, this quarter, Microsoft’s Bing “Image Creator,” powered by the advanced DALL-E 3 image generation tool, has successfully generated over 1.8 billion realistic images.

Bing Image Creator has been in operation since March this year, but it wasn’t until the latest version of DALL-E developed by ChatGPT-parent, OpenAI, that it reached its full potential.

What’s even more exciting is that you don’t need to be a high-level tech expert or subscribe to a premium service to access this impressive AI tool. DALL-E 3, for now, is available for free via Bing Image Creator in exchange for a Microsoft account.

How To Get Started With Bing Image Creator

Step I: Create a Microsoft Account (if you don’t already have one)

Step II: Access Image Creator: Go to bing.com and click on the Chat icon to use it directly within Bing Chat, or visit the Image Creator website at bing.com/create.

Step III: Prompt Your Image: Start your request with phrases like “create an image of…” or “generate an image of…,” followed by a brief description of what you’re looking for.

Microsoft recommends using adjectives, locations, or even artistic styles like “digital art” and “photorealistic” for optimal outcomes.

Boosts For Speed: You’ll have limited “boosts” to speed up image processing when you get started. Each boost is equivalent to one image. However, running out of boosts won’t leave you high and dry.

Here are some fun prompts that we tried (using ChatGPT for some):

Prompt I: Generate a captivating image of a mythical creature that blends the majesty of a dragon with the elegance of a phoenix, set against a backdrop of cascading waterfalls.

Prompt II: Generate a photorealistic image of an enchanted forest at twilight, where three friends are camping while the trees seem to be dancing and stars shining brightly.

Prompt III: Generate a painting-like image of a royal sea creature walking on the streets of Paris during fashion week.
