Trump Campaign Urges RNC To Halt 'Boring' GOP Debates And 'Train Our Fire On Crooked Joe Biden'

Former president Donald Trump‘s campaign has called on the Republican National Committee to put a stop to what they describe as “boring” GOP debates in order to focus attacks on Joe Biden.

What HappenedChris LaCivita, a senior advisor of the Trump Campaign, in a statement, criticized the GOP debates for being uneventful and insignificant.

He emphasized that with Trump leading both primary and general election polls, the debates are redundant, and resources should be channeled towards defeating Joe Biden.

"Tonight's GOP debate was as boring and inconsequential as the first debate, and nothing that was said will change the dynamics of the primary contest being dominated by President Trump,” he said.

“President Trump has a 40 or 50-point lead in the primary election and a 10-point lead over Joe Biden in the general election, and it's clear that President Trump alone can defeat Biden. The RNC should immediately put an end to any further primary debates so we can train our fire on Crooked Joe Biden and quit wasting time and money that could be going to evicting Biden from the White House."

Why It Matters: Trump was missing from the 2nd GOP primary debate. His no-show for the second time drew criticisms from other GOP candidates, including Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

The debate took place at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California on Wednesday night, with seven Republican presidential candidates participating. Meanwhile, Trump opted to meet with current and former union workers on strike against three major automakers in Detroit.

Addressing the UAW rally in Michigan, the former President took a jab at his Republican rivals attending the second GOP debate, hinting they may be vying for positions in his potential future administration.

Trump said, “We’re competing with the job candidates. They’re all running for a job. They’re all job candidates. They’ll do anything, Secretary of something. They even say VP. Has anybody seen a VP anywhere?”
