Elon Musk Praises Donald Trump: 'May Not Agree With The Man, But He Is Never Boring!'

Tesla CEO Elon Musk praised former President Donald Trump on Friday, saying, “He is never boring.”

What Happened: Musk took to his social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) to express his opinion on the buzz generated by Trump’s interview with Tucker Carlson on the social media platform.

“People are clearly interested in hearing from Trump. One may not agree with the man, but he is never boring!” Musk tweeted on Friday.

Musk’s statement came in response to an X user’s post, who recalled an old article from 2016, that read, “‘Trump skips debate, wins on social media.” The user was comparing the 2016 scenario to Wednesday’s GOP debate, which Trump skipped for an interview with Carlson on X.

Why It Matters: Musk’s tweet follows his previous acknowledgment of Trump’s unique style of communication. Just a day before in an X post, he had expressed admiration for the humor he found in Trump’s posts. He was responding to a tweet suggesting anticipation for Trump’s return to social media.

On Thursday, Trump made his first post on X in almost two years, days after being lifted from a two-year ban by the company. His Twitter post on Thursday was a controversial, now infamous, mug shot taken at the time of his booking at Fulton County jail, along with the link to his personal website, which directs people toward donating money for his presidential campaign.

Trump’s return to social media comes as he gears up for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, utilizing X as a tool to mobilize support.
