Lindsey Graham On Trump Indictments: 'If You Say You Are Cheated As A Republican, They're Going To Put You In Jail'

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) criticized the indictments against former President Trump and alleged political bias by prosecutors, reports The Hill.

Graham, in a conversation on Fox News' "Hannity," expressed concerns over the treatment of Trump.

"He's being prosecuted in a way to make challenging an election a crime just for him," he stated.

"You can claim you were cheated if you're a Democrat. If you claim you were cheated as a Republican, they're going to try to put you in jail,” he added

Graham also emphasized that Trump might not receive a fair trial in districts opposing him in the 2020 election. The recent indictment in Fulton County, GA accuses Trump and 18 others of racketeering related to efforts to overturn Georgia’s election results.

Earlier this month, Trump faced another indictment at the federal level for his 2020 actions. Additionally, charges in New York are linked to hush money payments preceding the 2016 election.

A recent poll revealed that 54% of Americans believe Trump should be federally charged for his 2020 actions, with nearly two-thirds viewing these charges as serious.
