Netflix has updated its Profile Transfer feature to help users transfer their complete watch history from one account to another, without forcing users to create a new account. Essentially, you can carry your preferences to an existing account if your friend booted you out of their shared Netflix Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) one.
"Starting today, the Profile Transfer feature has been updated to allow transfers to an existing account (instead of requiring a new account)," Netflix said in a blog post.

Here's How Netflix Profile Transfer Works
Without much ado, here's how to transfer your Netflix profile to a different account:
- Login to the Netflix account you want to transfer out your profile from.
- Tap on the profile icon and then the "Transfer Profile" option.
- Now, select the account you transfer the profile to – you can either transfer it to a new account or an existing one.
- If you are transferring to a new account, you will have to sign up for one while transferring.
- If you are transferring to an existing account, you will need to sign in with the email address and password to begin the transfer.
- Tap on "Transfer Profile" and you're done.
