Henry Kissinger Falls For Russian Prankster Duo Posing As Ukraine's Zelenskyy — And Lets Slip Some Confidential Stuff

In their most recent prank call to target a former U.S. diplomat, well-known Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus assumed the identity of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

What Happened: Their latest prank call targeted former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, who recently celebrated his hundredth birthday.

According to multiple media reports, Kissinger allegedly confessed that Washington had assured Moscow of the abandonment of NATO’s plans for eastward expansion.

In the short video circulating on the internet, pranksters pretending to be Zelenskyy are heard asking Kissinger, “Who do you think is guilty of the Nord Stream explosion?”

Kissinger, after a long pause, said, “I thought you were… but I didn't blame you.”

The Russian duo has gained notoriety for their history of prank-calling prominent politicians, often targeting critics of the Russian government or individuals involved in foreign policy matters.

In April, they duped the Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell by falsely claiming to be President Zelenskyy.

It has also been alleged that the Russian duo has the backing of the Federal Security Service (FSB), Russia’s leading security organization. However, the comedians have consistently denied any association with such entities, refuting the allegations against them.

As a former diplomat and presidential adviser, Kissinger guided the U.S. during a particularly turbulent era, including Richard Nixon's presidency and the Vietnam War.

He played a key role in shaping American foreign policy throughout the 1960s and 1970s, including efforts to eventually withdraw the U.S. from Vietnam. However, his involvement in contentious actions during the conflict led to him being closely associated with many of its most disputed aspects.
