VinFast Recalls 999 Of Its First SUVs To US Over Software Issue

Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has recalled 999 of its sports utility vehicles (SUV) that were shipped to the U.S.
The decision was made after a malfunctioning software posed the risk of the car's main screen blanking out, reported Bloomberg.
The automaker is expected to produce an over-the-air software update that will help fix the issue.
The company said only 111 vehicles that's being recalled are in customer hands.
VinFast's fist bunch of vehicles to be sold in the U.S. did not go well with the customers.
It has been six months since the first batch were shipped to California, with the second batch being shipped in April.
"We are new players and of course we will have issues," the report quoted CEO Le Thi Thu Thuy.
VinFast plans to send its first vehicles to Europe in July and is considering building a factory in North Carolina.
