Tesla Is Hiring Safety Experts For A New Crash Test Lab In Texas

Tesla Inc TSLA has plans to construct a new crash test lab in Austin, Texas.

The goal is to further improve the passive safety of its electric vehicles.

The Elon Musk-led car manufacturer is known for its safety standards, with Tesla vehicles consistently achieving industry-leading safety ratings.

According to Electrek, the new crash test lab is also hiring.

"Y’all asked for it. Tesla provided!" A Tesla recruiter said on LinkedIn. "Tesla is building a Crash Test Lab in Austin, TX! We are hiring Engineering Technicians to support the crash test lab."

It is unclear whether the lab will supplement or replace the existing facility in Fremont.

Meanwhile, the company is expected to hold a ceremony for a new lithium refinery on Monday.

The event will commence at 3 p.m. in the presence of leaders including Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.

The $375 million lithium facility is opening in Robstown, Texas, and will refine battery-grade lithium hydroxide.

Tesla is touting the facility to be the first of its kind in North America.
