Disney Streaming Tech Chief Exits After Disney Shares Its Downsizing Plans - Walt Disney (NYSE:DIS)

Walt Disney Co DIS streaming service chief technology officer Jeremy Doig departed, marking the latest high-profile departure as CEO Bob Iger restructured the largest entertainment company.
Doig joined Disney last March after a long run at Alphabet Inc GOOG GOOGL Google and was in charge of technology for Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+.
Aaron LaBerge, who has worked at Disney for the past decade, will head technology and product for Disney's media businesses, Bloomberg reports.
The departure followed Iger's plans to fire 7,000 employees and execute a new corporate structure.
The moves elevated lieutenants Alan Bergman and Dana Walden, who ran entertainment, and ESPN chief Jimmy Pitaro. Still, they stripped power from employees like Rebecca Campbell, head of international content and operations, and Michael Paull, previously the president of Disney streaming.
Michael Paull continues to oversee streaming for The Walt Disney Company. He now reports to co-chairs of Disney Entertainment, Alan Bergman and Dana Walden.
Iger has effectively dissolved Disney Media Entertainment & Distribution, a division created by his predecessor Bob Chapek to oversee the streaming services.
Price Action: DIS shares traded lower by 0.3% at $107.74 premarket on the last check Monday.
