Hillary Clinton Considering Elizabeth Warren For VP
Senator Elizabeth Warren could end up being Hillary Clinton's running mate, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal.
WSJ, citing "people familiar with the process," suggested the Democratic party presidential nominee is considering asking Warren to be her running mate. Reuters cited its own sources who confirmed Warren is considering the potential role.
An offer to primary rival Bernie Sanders isn't something the Clinton camp is considering at this time, WSJ added. However, a senior adviser to Sanders said Sanders isn't interested in the VP job nor is he expecting it to be offered.
Other prospective candidates the Clinton camp is evaluating include Labor Secretary Tom Perez; Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro; Sens. Tim Kaine of Virginia, Sherrod Brown of Ohio and Cory Booker of New Jersey; Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, and Reps. Xavier Becerra of California and Tim Ryan of Ohio.
Despite The Wall Street Journal's report, Clinton hasn't made any decisions.
"I haven't even begun to sort all that out." WSJ quoted the former First Lady and Secretary of State as saying. "There are a lot of really qualified, dynamic candidates, I'm sure, to be considered for vice president."
