The industries that are still afloat in the market today are:

Nonmetallic Mineral Mining: This industry jumped 1.89% by 9:55 am. The top stock within the industry was SinoCoking and Coke Chemical Industries Inc (NASDAQ: SCOK), which rose 4.2%. SCOK's trailing-twelve-month ROE is 197.32%.

Music & Video Stores: This industry rose 1.42% by 9:55 am ET. The top performer in this industry was Hastings Entertainment Inc (NASDAQ: HAST), which gained 0.03%. HAST shares have dropped 56.30% over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 15.36% in the same period.

Silver: This industry moved up 1.36% by 9:55 am, with Silvercorp Metals Inc (NYSE: SVM) moving up 3.5% to gain the top spot. SVM reported that its annual general meeting is scheduled to be held on September 23.

Drug Related Products: The industry, which gained 1.15%, saw Perrigo Company (NASDAQ: PRGO) as the top gainer. PRGO's shares rose 2.3%. PRGO received final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for Ketoconazole Foam, 2%.
