Citigroup, Inc. (NYSE:C) traded slightly lower on Tuesday as investors digested a new data and analytics partnership announcement.
The global bank announced that it has signed a multi-year strategic agreement with LSEG to upgrade its enterprise-wide data capabilities.
The agreement deploys LSEG data, analytics, and workflow tools across Citi's global operations.

The rollout spans markets, investment banking, wealth, trading, and risk functions. Finance, compliance, and regulatory teams will also adopt the tools. Citi aims to standardize data access and governance bankwide.
Citi continues a broader modernization push across its technology infrastructure. The bank expects stronger consistency in data-driven decisions. Leadership also targets operational efficiency at scale.
AI-Ready Data And Content
LSEG will deliver curated, AI-ready datasets across multiple asset classes.
Content includes pricing, market data, benchmarks, and indices. The offering also covers company data, deals information, and commodities. Citi teams will access news, risk intelligence, and regulatory datasets.
The partnership integrates LSEG Workspace into Citi's front-to-back workflows.
Citi will also use advisory and wealth APIs. Enterprise platforms will support real-time and historical data delivery. Trading, FX, and buy-side feeds form part of the solution.
Compliance And Risk Enhancements
Citi will strengthen onboarding and monitoring through LSEG's World-Check data. The integration improves auditability and consistency across regions.
David Livingstone, Citi's chief client officer, emphasized data quality. "High-quality data underpins how we deliver for clients," he said.
Livingstone highlighted faster insights and improved client experiences.
Ron Lefferts, LSEG's co-head of data and analytics, highlighted the value of infrastructure.
"We are proud to deepen our relationship with Citi through this long-term agreement," Lefferts said. He pointed to AI-ready content and cloud-native analytics.
