Allison Transmission Launches eGen Power 85S To Boost Its Propulsion Solution Portfolio - Allison Transmi

Allison Transmission Holdings Inc (NYSE:ALSN) disclosed the launch of eGen Power 85S axles at Busworld Europe in Belgium.

eGen Power 85S, integrated into Isuzu Novo VOLT fully electric buses, is a new addition to the company's family of fully electric axles.

The company's partnership with Anadolu Isuzu marks the first time integration of an eGen Power e-Axle into a midi bus application, thereby extending the family of fully electric axles in a new market segment.

"The introduction of the eGen Power 85S is the latest example of Allison's commitment to expanding our propulsion solution portfolio to meet the demands of the wide range of applications and market segments we serve. Our family of e-Axles has been developed to support Allison's customers as they develop electric vehicle capabilities and adopt technologies that will guide them into the future of the commercial vehicle industry," said Heidi Schutte, Allison Transmission Vice President EMEA, APAC & South America Sales.

In August, ALSN disclosed getting a contract from Mack Trucks for its 4500 Rugged Duty Series (RDS) as the exclusive transmission currently offered for its new compressed natural gas (CNG)-powered Mack Granite model.

As of June 30, 2023, Allison Transmission's cash and equivalents stood at $351 million.
