Boeing Slammed With IP Theft Lawsuit, Plaintiff Claims NASA Astronauts Lives Put At Risk: Report

Boeing Co BA is facing a lawsuit by Wilson Aerospace, in a Washington federal court, for allegedly stealing intellectual property (IP).

Wilson Aerospace, a Colorado-based small family-run tools business, presented ten claims against Boeing related to IP theft over the last two decades, CNBC reported.

The claims against Boeing include copyright infringement, misappropriation and theft of trade secrets, and fraud.

The lawsuit revolves around multiple custom-designed tools that Wilson asserted were created for Boeing.

The report noted Wilson claimed that the tools are used for NASA projects (such as International Space Station and its Space Launch Systems rocket) and the counterfeit versions of Boeing led to leaks and were lethal for astronauts' life.

Wilson's lawyers believe Boeing's actions have hurt Wilson to "hundreds of millions of dollars."

The report quoted a Boeing representative claiming that Wilson's "lawsuit is rife with inaccuracies and omissions."
