Since his debut in 2005, Dread Mar I has experienced exponential growth in his career. His impact on the music industry has been solidified with his latest production "YO", an EP that Mariano composed, produced, and recorded in its entirety during the 2021 lockdown. With his iPad as his only working tool, he intentionally sought a lo-fi audio to offer a direct and genuine version of his music, without intermediaries.

2020 was also one of achievements for Mariano. He introduced two new songs, "Morena" and "Tú Conoces Mis Miserias," which were included in the vinyl edition of his successful studio album "Caminarás Caminos." The album, published in May 2018, featured renowned reggae musicians, such as Kirk Bennett and Carol Bowie McLaughlin, and was recorded in the legendary SunPower Studio and Anchor Studio in Jamaica.

His innovative reggae sound has resonated not only in Latin America, but also in other corners of the world, leading him to perform two tours in the United States and Mexico, as well as performances in Puerto Rico, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, and Canada. His album "Caminarás Caminos" was even chosen as the "Best Reggae/Ska Album" at the Gardel Music Awards in Argentina. Admired by the new generations of musicians, Mariano collaborated in 2020 with the young Argentinians Nicki Nicole and Bizarrap on the successful song "Verte."

Throughout 2022, Dread Mar I has maintained a relentless pace, collaborating with artists of the caliber of Carlos Vives, Danny Ocean, and the Argentine Rusherking. "Perfecta," his collaboration with Rusherking, is a sweet romantic melody that has accumulated more than 100 million plays in audio and video.

With a sold-out show at Luna Park in Buenos Aires in December, and his current tour through Europe, Mexico, the United States, and Chile, Dread Mar I shows that his career is still on the rise, establishing himself as the leading figure of the new reggae sound throughout Latin America.
