OraSure Technologies Hires Michael Reed As Its Chief Scientific Officer

disclosed that it hired Michael Reed as its SVP of R&D and Chief Science Officer. According to the company, he would commence his stint with the company on April 18. OraSure Technologies said that Reed brings in over two decades of experience in life sciences, as well as, R&D in an extensive array of disciplines. That included internationally regulated IVD development and commercialization of cellular and molecular apps and systems. Before joining, he spent eight years in Beckman Coulter within Danaher Corporation. The company's President and CEO, Douglas Michels, said that "Mike will be a valuable addition to our senior management team and we will benefit from his global leadership in research and development and specifically his expertise in regulated assay development, genomics and molecular diagnostics". On Thursday, shares of the company ended higher by 0.14%.
