Investors Turn To Kroger For A Bargain

The Kroger Co KR shares are trading higher by $1.48 (4 percent) at $36.62 in Monday's session. It's just one of many defensive issues investors are seeking out over the last two volatile sessions.

After a lower open, it immediately bottomed at $34.75 and began to move higher. It has easily surpassed Friday's high ($35.50), reaching $36.84. That is just shy of a pair of highs from June 10 ($37) and June 16 ($36.98).
