Overall, short positions as a percentage of each stock’s float decreased since the last two-week reporting period.
First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ: FSLR) had 11.14 percent of its float short. This was a decrease of 6.95 percent from the previous two-week reporting period.
First Solar, Inc recently traded at $56.48, up 13.78 percent.
SunPower Corporation (NASDAQ: SPWR) had 19.06 percent of its float short, a 4.57 percent decrease from the prior period.
SunPower Corporation recently traded at $32.15, up 15.67 percent.
SolarCity Corp (NASDAQ: SCTY) had the largest percentage of its float short among the stocks listed here, coming in at 35.72 percent. Shorts declined 4.54 percent since the prior two-week period.
SolarCity Corp also had the smallest gain by mid-day and recently traded at $54.13, up 1.88 percent.
Canadian Solar Inc. (NASDAQ: CSIQ) had the lowest percent of shares short at 10.28 percent of the float. The company also had the largest decline of shorts with 28.83 percent decrease since the prior two-week period.
Canadian Solar Inc. recently traded at $30.73, up 7.92 percent.
SunEdison Inc (NYSE: SUNE) had the second largest percentage of the float short, coming in at 32.00 percent. This was a 1.81 percent decrease since the prior reporting period.
SunEdison Inc recently traded at $23.37, up 4.05 percent.
