Berger noted he thought Tesla Motors Inc TSLA was “well-positioned though a longer-term lens.
"Anytime you get to buy a stock when it’s 20, 30, or 40 percent off its highs," he added, "I thinks it’s worth adding to a long-term portfolio.”
Regarding concerns over sales in China, Berger felt that it was more media hype than anything else.
Berger also said, that over the long-term, Tesla was positioned to take advantage of the move towards automation and driverless cars, which could be a "game-changer."
