Mark Fisher: Go Long Natural Gas? (CHK, XOM, CVX, COP) - ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP)

Noted commodities trader Mark Fisher was on CNBC earlier and he said that we have enough natural gas to not rely on anyone. Fisher said that "averaging into" a natural gas position on any weakness would be a good strategy.

Some names to consider in this sector are Chesapeake Energy (NYSE: CHK), Exxon Mobil (NYSE: XOM), Chevron (NYSE: CVX), and Conoco Philips (NYSE: COP) as these companies have significant natural gas operations. Exxon Mobil, with its purchase of XTO Energy a couple of years ago, is now the largest producer of natural gas in the U.S.
