The Government Nor Facebook Can Read Your Conversations In FB Messenger Courtesy Of This New Feature

Earlier in the week, Facebook Inc (NASDAQ: FB) announced its Craigslist/Ebay Inc (NASDAQ: EBAY)-inspired Marketplace.

This means that the government nor Facebook will have access to your conversations in secret mode. Secret Conversation uses end-to-end encryption, similar to that of Facebook-owned WhatsApp.

Often times, messages sent through a smartphone will end up on other connected devices like your tablet or desktop, but that won't be the case with Facebook's new feature. Messages will only be sent to whatever device used to start or first responded to the conversation.

There is also an option to let specific messages expire after a specified time frame, from after five seconds to up to a day.
