Financial analyst and author Anne-Marie Baiynd joined Benzinga’s #PreMarket Prep show Monday morning, where she provided technical analysis of Alibaba Group Holding Ltd BABA after it started trading on Friday.
“Believe it or not, because the market is fractal, as soon as Alibaba printed ten minutes of candlesticks, you could trade it on formation,” she said. “That’s really a beautiful thing.”
But Baiynd, herself, did not touch Alibaba because she was concerned with how the stock would behave due to the lockout rules.
Instead, she traded Yahoo! Inc. YHOO, which she said was much more straightforward.
Baiynd also talked about candlesticks, retracements and moving averages for the two stocks.
